Hey everyone, I ran across this article that talks about the use of Adderall to people who are not prescribed it. It briefly refers to FDA laws which might be able to guide us in the right direction. It is really interesting and somewhere to start. http://www.yaledailynews.com/articles/view/12883
Also, just a reminder... we have decided to focus our efforts at the level of: Regulation of diagnosis and treatment of ADHD and depression medications.
Hey, sorry for the delayed posting. I read that article, and it sounds like a great idea to work from the angle where we talk about the kids in America ABUSING the drug. They are taking it to keep themselves more alert and memorize better. I have talked to Barbara and we are trying to set up a meeting sometime next week so we can get together and work on this together. Barbara and I would also like to know what happened to the other 2 people that were supposed to be in our group? So far, in the overdrugging America, there are only 4 members.
I found some goog stuff on diagnosis. About the other two people missing from the blog...if they are not part of the group we need to rethink how we divided up the work. I saved the articles as a word document; if I can't send it to you on here I will email it to you.

Hey everybody, Hopefully everyone is working on what we talked about in class. Just a reminder, after talking to Professor Fagan, we have decided on regulating: - Pharmaceutical marketing - Selling prescriptions over the internet - Prescribing psychotic medications to children under a certain age
I have found articles regarding regulating sales of prescription drugs over the internet and I will be writing up that part to hand into Professor Fagan this week (11/16). We are going to need to meet up to create solutions for these problems before 11/28 (remember that is the Tuesday after Thanksgiving); because on 11/28 we must meet in class with a hard copy of the complete version of our bill. In addition, we need to submit the final project online.
Professor Fagan, what is the difference between the bill and final project?
Hope. As it turns out I am not going to work on the PPT today. I did receive your slides, but I have yet to receive Dipens. I spoke to Randy yesterday to let him know his slides are great and that we are incorporating our slides with his. I still cannot reach Aimee, I left her a message. As far as Eddy goes, he never even responded to my last email I sent him about wether or not he was going to be a part of this group. If you can reach out to Aimee and see if she can reach out to Eddy that would be great. I already spoke to Dipen and Randy. I plan on working on this again Monday morning. Hopefully I will have everyones slides by then.
Also, did you ever talk to Fagan about how to write the actual BILL??? I am still clueless.
Barbara, Eddie did email me and I told him to make up his sides and send them to you no later than last Friday. I sent him mine and Randy's slides to show him the format. Dr. Fagan has not responded to what the actual bill is...
I have class till 1:20 so I am available anytime after that.
